Schools from across the country will again descend on Nerang National Park for the 2020 MTBA Schools National Championships held from 14th – 16th August, 2020.
It’s the fourth year the event has been held on the Gold Coast with support from the City of Gold Coast.
Last year nearly 400 students from 90 schools across Australia competed.
Moreton Bay College, from Brisbane, finished as the champion school last year.
“The Moreton Bay Colleges MTB club love competing at the Schools National Championships and have been part of this event since its inception. It is a fabulous competition that gives the opportunity to our young riders to challenge themselves against the best out there, grow as a rider, and be part of bigger supportive and inclusive community. We look forward to 2020’s event,” said Stuart Paterson.
The success of the gravity enduro format last year ensures it will again be a critical component for riders to gain points for their school in the race for the overall champion title.
Riders will also tackle the cross-country Olympic and short course on the technical and fun Nerang trails.
MTBA appreciate the assistance from the Gold Coast Mountain Bike Club who will again provide valuable support throughout the championships.
Online entires will open in coming weeks.
