More than 300 enduro riders have descended on Maydena, Tasmania this weekend for the premier gravity enduro event in the country the 2019 MTBA National Championships.
It’s the first time the venue has played host to the national titles,
Defending elite men’s and women’s champions Connor Fearon and Rowena Fry are back in a bid to retain the titles they won in Adelaide last year.
The elite men also features 2016 champion Chris Panozzo and 2018 title holder Troy Brosnan as well as last year’s junior men’s champion Sam Walsh.
Shelly Flood leads the contenders for the womens’ title with Katherine Hosking also taking the challenge up to the Asia Pacific champion and local Fry.
The under 19 women’s event will also be an enthralling one acrtoss the five stages, with reignign champion Laura Craft coming up against Fenella Harris who finished third in the EWS junior women and cross-country under 19 champion Zoe Cuthbert.
