New Level 1 MTB Skills Instructor Course Released

Posted by jo-2, September 20, 2018

Mountain Bike Australia is pleased to announce the release of the new Level 1 MTB Skills Instructor Course to build on from the Level 0 Skills Instructor Course.

The Level 1 course is a two-day theory and practical course aimed at upskilling Level 0 Instructors keen to accelerate their instructing skills to the next level. Upon successful completion participants will be equipped to teach CX style mounting and dismounting, cornering, pumping the trail, track stands, riding rock gardens, small step ups, small drop-offs, steep climbs and switchbacks on blue trails.

Much of the emphasis of the Level 1 Skills Course will be on refining skills to ensure instructors are using industry best practice methods to demonstrate skills to participants. Before commencing the course, participants must be confident riding blue trails and performing the skills they will be required to demonstrate throughout the Level 1 instructor course. This will ensure maximum time is spent on fine tuning skills and instructional methods.

The cost of the course is $495 per person.
Participants will be required to cover their food, travel and accommodation costs.

Below are the pre-requisites required to attend a Level 1 Skills Course:
