Rebecca McConnell has finished her best ever UCI MTB World Cup season in style with a podium at Snowshoe, West Virginia overnight.
The World Championship bronze medallist carried her form into the United States to finish with a fourth place, +57 seconds behind the rainbow stripes of Pauline Ferrand Prevot (Canyon Factory Downhill Team).
The result also saw the Primaflora Mondraker Rotor rider finish fifth in the overall standings after seven rounds.
American Kate Courtney (Scott Factory Racing) would be crowned the overall World Cup winner.
Snowshoe also produced a season best result for fellow Australian Holly Harris who would finish on the lead lap in 36th.
In the elite men, Daniel McConnell (Primaflora Mondraker Rotor) also finished inside the Top 20 for the first time this season while Cameron Ivory made it into the Top 50.
Cameron Wright (Giant Factory Off-Road Racing) was one of two Australians racing as he finished in 35th while Callum Carson ended up in 38th.
While in the Under 23 women Megan Williams rode herself into the top 20 while Katherine Hosking ensured a stellar end to the season with a 24th placing.
