The 2020 MTBA National Marathon Championships will head to Western Australia.
The event will be held in conjunction with the Dwellingup 100 on the 12th September 2020 co-hosted with The Event Team and Perth Mountain Bike Club.
The courses designed for this year are:
D100 (Full Marathon)
Starts with a 45 km loop south of Dwellingup with 1200 m of climbing, then back into Dwellingup for refuelling (Commentary and Spectators). Riders then head out of town for another 50 km loop with about 700 metres of climbing for a total of 95 kms and just under 2000 m. We have also been tweaking the course to make sure the hardest climbs are early on in the event.
D60 (Half Marathon)
Starts with the same 45 km loop south of Dwellingup with 1200 m of climbing, then back into Dwellingup for refuelling. Riders then head out of town for another 15 km loop with about 150 metres of climbing for a total of 60 kms.
More of a novice based, beginner MTB event that is very popular and one we could not really drop. This one heads NW or Dwellingup to avoid the really hard hills. This side of town also has the most single track.
Is mainly about the kids, this one has a new course for 2020 as well.
Online registration will be released in coming weeks.
