Australian downhillers return to the Leogang track in Austria this weekend for the third stop on the UCI MTB World Cup circuit and more importantly in good form.
Troy Brosnan (Canyon Factory Downhill Team) goes into the weekend as the overall leader in the elite men with practice tomorow befoe qualifying and then finals on Sunday.
The Australian champion has raced at the Austrian venue 11 times, with five podiums and his best result being a third back in 2016.
Fellow South Australian Connor Fearson (Kona Factory Team) has also fond memories of the venue with a second place back in 2015.
After her second placing in Fort William last weekend Tracey Hannah (Polygon UR) heads into the third stop of the world cup confident only 30 points behind overall leader Rachel Atherton (Atherton Bikes).
Hannah has finished third here last year, while fellow elite female Sian A’Hern returns to the course where missed the podium by one place in 2018.
Kye A’hern (Canyon Factory Downhill Team), Luke Meier-Smith and Cassie Voysey will race in the junior categories.
