English Retains 24hr Solo Crown

Jason English regained his crown as the king of 24hr racing after taking out the 2017 Australian National Solo 24hr Championships at Mount Majura, Canberra over the weekend.

English, who was beaten in 2016 for the first time in seven years, made sure he would be back on top of the podium 12 months later having completed 38 laps of the course with Kevin Skidmore and Mark Astley the next closest in the overall rankings with 37 and 36 laps completed respectively.

First home for the women was Kate Penglase who finished with 32 laps and 15th overall.

She was followed home by Rebecca Stone and Melinda Macaulay.
