Kye A’Hern (Canyon Factory Downhill Team) has won back to back UCI Mountain Bike Downhill Junior Men World Cups, this time in Leogang, Austria overnight.

The Australian champion, who would be second as last down the Leogang course, backed up last weekend’s victory in Fort William to again stand top of the podium.

A’Hern stopped the clock in a time of 3:19:07  to defeat Frenchman Thibaut Daprela (Commencal/Vallnord) by a scant 0.05 seconds.

The win now sees the Queanbeyan downhiller take the overall series lead with the next round to be held in Val di Sole, Italy next month.

In the elite men Troy Brosnan (Canyon Factory Downhill Team) kept himself at the pointy end finishing fourth with Frenchman Amuary Pierron (Commencal/Vallnord) notching up his second straight World Cup win.

After three rounds the South Australian sits third overall.

Connor Fearon (Kona Factory Racing) was the next best Australian in seventh.

Tahnee Seagrave’s disqualification saw Tracey Hannah (Polygon UR) climb onto the podium for the second straight week in third place for the elite women.

Sian A’Hern also broke into the top 10 for the first time this series with a sixth place finish behind eventual winner Rachel Atherton (Trek Factory Racing DH).
