Troy Brosnan (Canyon Factory Downhill Team) showcased his speed on a course which may very well be the fastest of the World Cup circuit after timed training runs at Les Gets, France overnight.
Brosnan clocked a 3:01:484 on the dry and dusty course situated in the French Alps, with Michael Hannah (Polygon UR) laying down the fourth fastest timed run of the day.
Sister Tracey, the overall series womens leader, put down the second fastest time behind local favourite Frechwoman Marine Cabirou, and is in the drivers seat to retain the overall jersey after world champion Rachel Atherton (Atherton Racing) suffered a ruptured achilles tendon from landing heavy off the final jump on the track.
Sian A’Hern also seemed to favour the conditions with a fifth fastest training run.
In the junior men Luke Meier-Smith and Kye A’hern (Canyon Factory Downhill Team) were in the top four.
