Summary of Return to Play Requirements Per State Territory 18 September 2020 V9

Above is a summary of return to play requirements in each state/territory.  MTBA will update this summary as often as possible. However clubs and individuals are reminded to check the relevant directions in their location.

MTBA Affiliated Club COVID-19-Safety-Plan V1 (25 May 2020)

MTBA have developed the above template for clubs, affiliates and coaches to complete prior to resuming any mountain bike activities.  This template is based on the template issued by Sport Australia for sport clubs and associations.

MTBA Guidelines for the Resumption of MTB Activities V2  (14 May 2020) 

These Guidelines have been developed to provide recommendations to clubs and members about the resumption of MTB activities. Directives issued by State/ Territory & Local Governments MUST be followed and taken into account when making decisions about resumption of any mountain bike activities in your location.

Quarantine requirements for sporting codes including individual sports – Letter from CHO

Below is the additional advice received when the quarantine requirements in the above letter and their application to individual sports was queried.

The requirements outlined in the correspondence from the Chief Health Officer are also applicable to individual sports.

Individual athletes competing in or against participants from declared COVID-19 hotspots are required to comply with the quarantine requirements detailed in the correspondence.

As mentioned in the letter, the requirements will continue to be reviewed as the COVID-19 situation across Australia progresses and Queensland manages its response. (Sport & Recreation COVID-19 Team – 16 July 2020)

Australian Coaching Council – COVID-19 Safe Sport Coach Certification Program

This new on-line course has been developed for all Sports Coaches/Trainers to conduct training and coaching sessions during the current COVID-19 pandemic. Staying up to date with the current guidelines, you will learn the fundamental knowledge required to conduct coaching sessions and give your athletes the confidence to return to their regular training in a safe and protected environment. The on-line program will take about 30 minutes to complete. It is provided as a free service to the sport and coaching community.
