Add Mountain Bike Australia on Strava here
“TogetherAlone” – Our twice weekly unsocial ride on Strava to inspire during isolation. It’s about getting outside a small bit and feeding our physical and mental wellbeing. Start from home, any time after 6am, ride any terrain, keep it moderate (30-40mins), collect some inspiring thoughts, pics, vids and share! (Spot prizes to follow too for best content). Click here to join!
Check our Strava’s Safety setting here. Ride Local. Ride Safe. Ride Kind. Ride Solo.
Zwift is the perfect way to maintain fitness and stay connected to your community during this challenging time. For those new to virtual riding, click here for a thorough guide on how to get started. We organised our first Group Meet-up for those Zwift fanatics with Cam Ivory leading the first ride and Izzy Flint leading the second!
Keep an eye out for next week’s leading rider in our group meet-up.
All you need to do is follow “Mountain Bike Australia” on the Zwift Companion app and you’ll be sent an invite. See you all there!

TRAIL MAINTENANCE RESOURCES
Undertaking any trail work during the current COVID-19 restrictions is challenging.
Northside Trail Care Alliance based on the northside of Brisbane have worked with the land manager, Qld Parks and Wildlife Service to develop a work induction and guidelines for volunteers undertaking trail construction and maintenance activities during these times. This allows the Alliance to complete, in conjunction with a professional trail builder, a new trail project which has been funded by the Qld Government.
This resource has been shared with permission of the Northside Trail Care Alliance as an example. Please click here to see the document.
LIFE OFF ROAD PODCASTS
Mountain Bike Australia chats with some more of the lesser known people making major differences in the MTB community in our new Podcast series called “Life Off Road” is now available for listening.
