Membership Cards
MTBA is planning to phase out the plastic membership card early 2020 and move to the electronic membership card which is contained in the MTBA App. Members can still request a plastic membership card when joining or renewing membership at an additional cost.

Clubs need to plan for this change and remind members they can show proof of their membership via the MTBA App which can be downloaded from App Store and Google Play.

Membership Fee Changes
From 1st July 2019, there will be changes to MTBA membership fees.

There will be a minimal increase across all categories of membership to accommodate the rise in insurance and operational costs as we continue to provide a quality service and introduce new benefits for members.

To avoid the 1st July increase, members can renew before the end of June by heading to  www.mtba.org.au/membership

New Membership Categories

MTBA have introduced a new race membership category for children aged 2 to 6 years, the Dirt Cub.  A Dirt Cub member receives the same benefits as available in the Dirtmaster category but for a lesser fee.  The Dirtmaster category will now start from age 7 to 12 years old. This new category will be available from 1 July 2019.

Worldwide Cover
Your MTBA membership now provides insurance cover while for riding recreationally worldwide. This means if you are injured riding recreationally overseas the policy will respond in the same way as it does in Australia.
