Christmas is almost upon us which means 'Let the Fun Begin at the SCAT Christmas Carnivals'.

Kicking off on Saturday 19th December, we head to the west coast of Tasmania to Rosebery before the festive season celebrations begin.

There will be action aplenty from 27th December in Hobart, before travelling to the north of the state for the Launceston Carnival at the Silverdome, and then to George Town on 30th December.

What better way to see the final day of 2020 than getting trackside at the Burnie New Year's Eve Carnival and then staying for the end of year fireworks at West Park Oval.

The U13 State Track Championships are incorporated into the Mersey Valley Devonport Carnival on 24th January. The State Track Sprint Championships and Endurance Championships have been scheduled and are open to all of the remaining categories. This year there is not a minimum number of riders to be competing for Championship Titles and the Masters will not be competing for an Age Standard Time.  We hope that there is enough support to be able to continue this two day championship events in the future.

It has been greatly anticipated and I am pleased to announce that we currently have two clubs that have confirmed that they will be hosting an event in the Tasmanian Track Series. The MVDCC will present a round of the series on 14th February and LCCC will present a round at the Longford Track. There may be additional rounds and more information will be provided in the coming weeks.

There are some great things happening in the sport and I am excited about the year ahead.

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and the very best for the New Year.
