Dear Riders, 

We are sure that everyone has an action packed weekend planned, with epic rides and club events planned, alongside a weekend full of racing with the 2021 BMXSQ Shootout Series, and the AusCycling Queensland Elite, U19 and Para State Track Championships at the Anna Meares Velodrome. 

Queensland riders made an impact at the 2021 Federation University Road National Championships, with an impressive haul of 16 medals, including 8 national titles!

This month, Queensland celebrated the announcement of the 2026 UCI BMX World Championships which is set to be hosted in Brisbane for the first time in the event's history.

There's something for everyone at Australia's biggest multi-disciplinary cycling festival! The Brisbane Cycling Festival descends on Brisbane from 24 March - 12 April 2021, with tickets now released for the Spokes n' Jokes luncheon where attendees will rub shoulders with cycling royalty. Festival attendee's will also have the chance to see the most exciting action sport hitting Australia, with the Nitro World Games on show at the Festival Village from 9-11 April.

In Memory of Luke Azzopardi

AusCycling joins the cycling community in mourning the tragic death of Luke Azzopardi last week in Cairns. A memorial ride was held by Cairns Cycling Club last Sunday and a cyclist safety memorial appeal has been organised in his memory. Please join us as we commemorate Luke's passion for safe cycling and support this appeal to make our roads safer for people riding bikes.
