Dear Northern Territory (NT) mountain bike members and stakeholders,
I am pleased to invite you to attend the NT Mountain Bike Forum, an open forum conducted by Mountain Bike Australia (MTBA) to provide an opportunity for you to learn more about the value and benefits of the proposal that MTBA presented to the Northern Territory Government (NTG) in late 2018. The aim of the proposal is to advance, grow and develop mountain biking throughout all areas of the Territory.

Under the proposal, MTBA is recognised by the NTG as the Peak Sporting Body (PSB) for mountain biking in the Territory and would be funded to deliver agreed outcomes, including the employment of a dedicated MTB Development Officer based in the Territory. A summary of the proposal can be found attached to this email.
The Australian Government, through Sport Australia, recognises MTBA as the national body responsible for developing and promoting the sport of mountain biking in Australia. MTBA are recognised and funded as the state peak body for the sport in Queensland and Tasmania, and recognition is advancing in both South Australia and Victoria.
MTBA is committed to developing the sport throughout all regions of this country. I hope that you are able to attend, and I look forward to having the opportunity to discuss and hear your thoughts, comments and feedback on this very exciting proposal for mountain biking in the NT.
