Economic & Participation Analysis of MTB in Australia

You may be aware that MTBA received funding late last year to complete the above project.  Part of the methodology is to conduct surveys of riders at trail networks around Australia, with the survey consisting of 4 questions.

MTBA are looking for assistance from clubs to conduct these surveys at their local trail network anytime up until the end of October.

If your club is keen to find out more and assist, please contact Denise at MTBA

Victorian Mountain Bike Strategy

Thanks to funding from Sport and Recreation Victoria, MTBA will be developing a strategy to guide the development of mountain biking in Victoria.

Through developing the strategy, we will gain an understanding of the existing and projected demand for mountain bike trails, identify gaps, constraints and opportunities and provide strategies to guide trail investment decisions.

Many stakeholders will be consulted throughout this project including Clubs, riding community, local and state government agencies, peak industry bodies and other relevant stakeholders.

MTBA completed a QLD Mountain Bike Strategy in 2018 and are keen to have a similar strategy developed for Victoria.  A consultant is yet to be appointed, however, the project will be completed by June 2021.
