AusCycling is pleased to confirm the eligibility and selection criteria, and process for selection to road development activities to represent the Australian National Team.
The primary purpose of the program is to provide an international racing experience for riders within the Australian Cycling Team Performance Pathway, which may include riders competing overseas, or in the NRS who may not be categorised on the athlete pathway.
Selection is open to four events in Europe mid-2021, beginning with the Women’s UCI and Belgian race camp (June / July 2021), the Men’s U23 Orlen Nations GP Poland (May 2021), the Men’s U23 Course de la Paix Czech (June 2021) and the Men’s U23 Tour de l’Avenir in France (Aug 2021).
The program continues successful partnership between AusCycling and NRS teams which includes Australia’s Summer of Cycling, and other European opportunities such as the successful 2019 Belgian women’s winter racing program.
“We are excited about these programs as they will provide an important international racing experience for our developing and emerging athletes,” said Donna Rae-Szalinski, Endurance Development Coordinator.
