Happy New Year!

What a fantastic Christmas Carnival Series to end 2020. We thank our clubs, officials, and volunteers for assisting to present wonderful events during the festive period, and the riders for entertaining us.
The new year brings some new changes to the AusCycling Tasmania office, one of which is a new staff member. We welcome Megan Avery who will assist and support our clubs with their participation activities and promote our sport to our members and the community.

There is so many opportunities to cycle over the coming weeks. The State Track Championships will be over two days, and the new Track Cycling League will continue the track season until March. The State BMX Series commences in Wynyard next month and we are fortunate to be hosting the National MTB Championships in Tasmania at Maydena Park.

If you are looking for a social ride to raise money for a valuable cause, Freedom Ride is a family orientated bike ride to raise important funds for Pathways Tasmania. This ride will be held on 27^th March in New Norfolk.

Whether you are racing, training or recreational riding on the track, off a jump, in the bush or on the road, I wish you an enjoyable ride and the very best for 2021.

Introducing Megan Avery who has been appointed to the role of Community and Communications Coordinator. Megan will be supporting clubs and promoting cycling activities to our members and the community.

Mersey Valley Devonport Cycling Club Carnival

The MVDCC Carnival is proudly presented by the Mersey Valley Devonport Cycling Club and sponsored by St Lukes Health & Clarke's Painting Services. This carnival also includes the Under 13 State Track Championships.

Northern Vets Cycling Club Summer Event

The Northern Vets Cycling Club have planned a great summer of road racing, with their first club event for 2021 on Sunday 24th January!

The club welcomes new and existing members to to join in the fun of Vets racing!

St Lukes Health State Sprint Championships

St Lukes Health State Sprint Championships will be held at Silverdome, Launceston on the 30 of January. Entries close 27 January.

National Junior Track Series Rd 2

National Junior Track Series (NJTS) is an opportunity for juniors to be a part of the AusCycling junior development pathway. This year the NJTS are to be hosted in Brisbane, due to travel restrictions round 2 went underway virtually at Silverdome, Launceston.
A special mention to all the work that goes behind the scenes into making the virtual event possible, thank you to all the people who were able to assist.
